We are seeking a Procurement Manager for a newly created role, pivotal in defining our group policies and processes. Based in Harrogate, you’ll collaborate closely with stakeholders to design and implement strategic procurement and supplier management, while supporting daily purchasing activities for the group.

This role offers the chance to shape policies, processes, and working methods within our procurement function, aligning with our 5-year strategy to significantly grow our estate.

About You:

You should have substantial experience in a similar role, excellent interpersonal skills, a can-do attitude, and strong project management skills. Proficiency in MS Office is essential.

Role Overview:

  • Define and implement group-wide procurement strategy and regulations, ensuring compliance.
  • Establish a robust contract management framework to identify, monitor, and escalate key supply chain risks.
  • Enhance key supplier relationships to improve cost and service levels.
  • Benchmark current pricing against the market to identify optimisation opportunities.
  • Manage the end-to-end tender process, including documenting business requirements, preparing and issuing Invitations to Tender, issuing Requests for Quotation, and preparing recommendation reports for new suppliers.
  • Negotiate commercial terms, conditions, and service levels (including KPIs) with suppliers, conducting relevant spend analysis to inform decision-making.
  • Develop and implement KPIs and management reporting capabilities covering all procurement and purchasing activities.
