Overall Objectives of the post:

To contribute towards the provision of a high quality Commercial Waste Service by providing support in terms of credit control and customer service .

Key Tasks of the Post:

  1. You will be responsible for delivering a high quality, customer focussed service. You must:
  • Develop and maintain relationships with business and trade customers.
  • Liaise with trade customers, processing all account documentation to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Ensure Duty of Care paperwork is produced for all customers in order to meet legal requirements.
  • Assist the Senior Credit Controller with invoicing and credit control, producing invoices in a timely manner and ensuring controls are in place regarding payment.
  • Arrange ad-hoc collections and invoices for business customers, providing all associated paperwork.
  • Maintain the customer database and ensure it is accurate and up to date.
  • Manage and distribute Round Lists for the crews and ensure they are kept up to date with new customer information etc.
  • Setting up appointments with trade customers.
  • Triage customer feedbacks for both the commercial and non-commercial side of the Service, providing solutions and escalating more complex feedbacks as appropriate.
  • Undertaking any support duties as necessary for Waste Services as a whole, including general administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying etc.

  1. You will be responsible for making a corporate contribution. You must:

The candidates must have:

  • 4 GCSEs grade A-C or equivalent relevant experience working in a trade waste accounts environment
  • Experience of maintaining excellent business customer relationships.
  • Experience of keeping and maintaining accurate records.
  • Significant experience of using Microsoft word and excel
  • Experience of working in an administrative environment.
  • Experience of delivering excellent customer service for both residents and business customers.
  • Experience of working with both invoicing and credit control systems.
  • Excellent IT skills and use of systems such as Microsoft office.
  • Excellent numeracy/literacy skills
  • Ability to manipulate data and produce reports.
  • Possess a keen eye for accuracy in data and records.
  • Able to work as part of a team
