The role is for a Civil Enforcement Officer, the staff member is responsible for patrolling South Tyneside in areas where parking restrictions are in place.

Providing a good customer service, representing the Council, using a handheld device, printer and Body Worn Camera. Staff are expected to issue Penalty Charge Notices to non-compliant vehicles, check for parking articles such as permits, blue badges etc. Evidence gathering is required, computer skills, using an integrated camera and note taking skills are also required. Staff will be expected to patrol in all weathers and mostly on foot.

However a full driving licence and DBS are required.

Technical aspects are required.

This vacancy is 5 days out of 7 days, with two shift patterns on a rotational basis. 8am-4.30pm and 11.30am -8.00pm. Weekend work and bank holiday work is required, this however will be on a rota basis.
