About the Role

The role of Personal Development Co-ordinator is an exciting role to be in with everyday brining something different.

As a Personal Development Co-ordinator, the key duties of this role will be to create a programme of personal development activities, available to all learners and working with learners to understand key topics and themes. You will organise, coordinate and deliver events to develop the essential life and personal skills of students, including health, wellbeing and learning opportunities.

You will build effective partnerships with external organisations, who will provide guest speaker delivery and lead on learner voice activity.

You will have experience of working within an educational environment, ideally within a Further Education/Post-16 environment. Working as a team, you will be responsible for organising, co-ordinating, promoting and delivering events to develop essential life and personal skills of learners.

You will have qualifications in English and Maths at Level 2 (GCSE) or equivalent, and a Level 2 qualification in Guidance/Counselling or similar. You will also be able to demonstrate good customer service skills and be able to work with respect and confidentiality.

The role of Personal Development Co-ordinator will work within a team on site and with colleagues in similar positions across other groups in order to provide a consistent approach to events, delivery and offerings. You will report to the Student Support Team Leader and work closely with colleagues in the Student Support teams onsite. You will also liaise with curriculum managers and tutors to ensure learners access appropriate personal development opportunities for their individual learner journey.
