Subject Access Request Officer
We are seeking additional Subject Access Request Officers for a 3-month period.
You will be responsible for accessing and extracting information from computer and paper records and redacting 3rd party and sensitive information. You must have previous experience of records management, and knowledge of the Data Protection Act and the General Data Protection Regulation.
What we want you to do:
- To respond to subject access requests as covered by the Data Protection Act and the General Data Protection Regulation ensuring they are dealt with effectively within appropriate timescales as required by relevant legislation, regulations and codes of practice.
- To be responsible for accessing and extracting information from computer and/or paper records following a subject access request ensuring that it is compliant with relevant legislation and guidelines.
- To interpret information to ensure the information being provided is compliant with relevant legislation and guidelines.
- To liaise with the family and relevant internal and external profession when required.
- To provide advice and assistance on subject assess request matters as requested ensuring an effective and timely service is provided.
- Such other responsibilities allocated which are appropriate to the grade of the post.
Qualifications
- 5 GCSE’s A – C or 9 – 4 including Maths and English or equivalent qualification or relevant demonstratable experience
Knowledge
- An in-depth knowledge of the Data Protection Act and the General Data Protection Regulation.
Experience
- Experience of Social care
- Managing records to a high standard.
- Proven experience of excellent oral and communication skills
- Proven experience of organising work to meet deadlines.
