Are you an experienced data analyst? Are you looking for a position that will support you in your professional development? If so, we have an exciting secondment opportunity.

We are looking for someone with a high level of experience to lead on all aspect of information, data and analytics.  The ideal candidate would have knowledge of substance use.

What you will be doing:

  • Advising on all aspects of data and analytics including; data collection, research, analysis, report production, and BI solutions.
  • Acting as an expert resource for the use of the case load management system.
  • Collating and presenting relevant data to inform performance management framework and governance discussions.
  • Providing day to day support with the system as well as developing and reviewing standard operating procedures.
  • Ensuring compliance with legislation including GDPR by ensuring that statutory data reporting requirements are met across integrated system
  • Providing data sets for Freedom of Information Requests which relate to aspects of the Integrated Service model.
  • Collaborating with colleagues in the Analytics and Data teams to ensure the timely and accurate provision of data required to support Homelessness, domestic abuse and substance misuse.
  • Supporting operational and team managers to understand data and how to use it to identify and solve problems- providing advice, reports and data visualisations where required.
  • Engaging with a range of key staff and stakeholders, both internal and partner agencies, to gather key data to help support Integrated Service model.
  • Leading on strategic work with partners to use data to identify issues and solutions.
  • Ensuring that analytics products are of a high-standard, and where possible are descriptive (what is happening), diagnostic (why is it happening), predictive (what may happen in the future) and prescriptive (what should we do).
  • Analysing, troubleshoot and supporting effective running of case load management system and the workforce infrastructure using it.

 

What you must have:

  • Experience of working effectively within a specialist service/local authority environment, engaging with a range of stakeholders, and providing clear, balanced advice and guidance to ensure good outcomes.
  • Be educated to degree level in a relevant subject, or evidence of an equivalent level of academic attainment, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience of developing and managing progress and performance- reporting and presenting information clearly and concisely.
  • Technical knowledge and experience of case load management systems
  • Knowledge and experience of complex data analysis & interrogation using multiple datasets from differing sources, interpreting the outcomes to provide accurate and concise conclusions to inform service priorities and improvements.
  • A good understanding of the analytics, data and information needs of local government- particularly across homelessness, domestic abuse and substance misuse
  • A High level of computer / digital literacy
  • Knowledge and experience of key applications including but not limited to Excel, Power BI, and ETL tools.
